God Loves You

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. A day all about love, typically focusing on romantic love. And if you’re anything like me, you’re a hopeless romantic who believes it’s usually the deepest love a human can experience. And if you’re also like me, you hate Valentine’s Day because you’re painfully single ( and possibly because you’re so picky). Trust me, I know the struggle. I tried to make the day nice for myself by watching Tangled, but there are only so many times you can watch it without wishing you had what Rapunzel and Eugene have (spoiler alert: it’s only one time). However, whether you've experienced romantic love or not, there is one who loves you more than anyone on this earth could. “For God so Loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16, ESV “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (John 13:15, ESV). God loves you. Let that sink in. The God o...

Do Not Be Anxious

We live in possibly one of the most anxious times ever. You turn on the news or open your phone and you are instantly hit with news of catastrophes from all over the world. Maybe you open your bank account and wonder how you’ll make it to the end of the month. Or maybe you’re unable to find peace in your own home. However you put it, fear has infiltrated our lives, making us constantly stress and worry.               Personally, I am one who constantly deals with anxiety due to life and the struggles that come with it. I have a mother and an emotional support dog to prove it (which I fear might have accidentally developed separation anxiety. Even my dog has it). If you’re anything like me, these stresses have worn you do...

He Knows Our Grief

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, as put by Andy Williams. It’s a holiday full of joy, celebration, and wonder. However, for many people, it’s also a time of grief, sadness, and pain. Maybe you’ve lost a close loved one. Maybe a relationship or friendship ended when you thought it never could. Maybe life is just so stressful that you can’t find any reason to celebrate. I know firsthand how difficult the holiday season can be. The main reason for this is the loss of my dad back in 2020. He was my person, and I was his little girl. Losing a parent at any age is difficult, but somehow, it’s even worse when you’re only in high school when they pass. This Christmas will be my fifth one without him here. And yet, I still will watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation for him. Yet, even though I have plenty to be upset over, I have plenty of reasons for this season to not be the most wonderful time of the year, I don’t have to let this grief ruin the holiday for ...
